My Husband's Wife

One house. One husband. Two women. One of them is lying.

Artist Eden Fox is on the verge of her big breakthrough. Hours before her first exhibition, she goes out for a run, but when she returns to her new house—poetically named „Far-Sighted“—nothing is as she left it. Her key doesn’t fit. A stranger appears at the door who bears an uncanny resemblance to her. And Eden’s husband insists that this other woman is his wife.

Six months earlier, the lonely and distrustful Birdie receives a life-changing diagnosis and unexpectedly inherits „Far-Sighted“ from a grandmother whose existence she hadn’t even suspected. The old house takes her to the picturesque seaside village of Hope Falls—and on the trail of a mysterious London clinic that claims it can predict the exact date of every person’s death. Including her own.

As deeply hidden secrets come to light and the line between truth and deception blurs, two women find themselves entangled in a dangerous tale of love, obsession, and revenge. But who is the real wife? Who is pretending? And how far is a woman willing to go to reclaim the life that someone else has stolen?

Following *Rock, Paper, Paper„ and “His and Hers,„ the queen of unexpected twists, Alice Finney, returns with a masterful psychological thriller in which no one is who they claim to be, and the truth changes depending on who is telling the story.
