Resin

“Highly original... Reminded me of the best of Stephen King: insanely creepy, but with a misleading compassion for each character.“
***** The Daily Telegraph

Liv died when she was only six years old. At least that's what the authorities think. Her father knows he is the only one who can protect her from any danger lurking in the human world. So one night he leaves the secluded house his little family calls home, pushes his boat out to sea and watches it crash into the rocks. Then he takes the long way to town to declare his little girl missing.

His Liv, however, hides behind the boxes and cartons that fill every millimeter of his workshop because he told her that way she would never have to go to school; that way she would never have to leave her parents.

The international bestseller ”Resin” has won the most prestigious Scandinavian literary awards: the Glass Key, Golden Bullet, Golden Crowbar, Harald Mogensen. The 2019 film adaptation has also received a number of accolades.
