The Kite Catcher

An anniversary edition with an afterword by Khaled Hosseini on the 20th anniversary of the publication of his debut novel

Khaled Hosseini's harrowing novel The Kite Runner“ caused an unprecedented furore around the world. Hardly anyone expected a debut novel by an Afghan immigrant in the US to be a worldwide success, and such a long-lasting one: for three whole years this book topped the New York Times, Publishers Weekly, etc. charts. This story, set in Kabul and California, is a classic tale of guilt, betrayal and redemption, of the relationship between Two brothers burdened by the sins of their father and their own past.

„Wonderful novel... One of those unforgettable stories we keep in our minds for years. The great themes of literature and life are woven into this amazing novel: love, honor, guilt, fear of redemption... It is so striking that for a long time everything I read after it seemed weak.“
