About the Product

Description

Frederick is a humble clerk who fills his time collecting butterflies and... is obsessed with his passion for a painting student Miranda. How to meet her, how to seduce her, how to make her understand that he is the man she needs? His dream becomes a dangerous plan - the young woman will become the most beautiful, the most precious, the rarest specimen in his collection. Trapped in a secluded house, Miranda will repeatedly try to escape, but in vain. The denouement seems inevitable.

A worldwide bestseller, filmed in 1965, the novel „The Collector“ at John Fowles exudes an undeniable satanic scent and in its own way reminds of „Lolita.“ on Vladimir Nabokov.
