My Coworker

The office is a place where elderly people supposedly work. Everyone has responsibilities and everyone behaves in a mannerly manner. But behind that facade of civility, the office sometimes turns out to be not much different than high school. Dawn Schiff and Natalie Farrell know this all too well. The two work together at the nutritional supplement company Vixed, but as if they could not be more different from each other.

Everyone thinks Dawn Schiff is weird. Like she could never say the right thing. She has no friends and doesn't hang out with anyone. She was teased and bullied in high school and continues to be - despite her impeccable job as an accountant.

Natalie Farrell was a high school homecoming queen and is now the most successful and most popular employee of the Vixed. And just like at school, she can't resist the temptation to toss a snide remark at the outsider who seems desperate to become her friend.

But when Dawn disappears one morning, Natalie begins to worry. Especially after the strange anonymous call she receives. And when she decides to visit Dawn at her home and see if she's okay, what she finds there turns her whole life upside down.
