The Locked Door

Some doors remain locked for a reason!

Eleven-year-old Nora Nirling has no idea that while writing homework in her room, her father is murdering young women in the basement of their house. But the police knock on the door anyway. Decades later, Nora is a famous surgeon now with the last name Davis and leads a quiet, solitary existence. No one suspects that her father is a notorious serial killer. And she intends for it to stay that way. But then she learns that one of her young patients was murdered in the same peculiar and horrific way her father dealt with his victims.

Someone knows who Nora is. Someone wants to pin the blame for this unthinkable crime on her. But she's not a murderer like her father. The police can't charge her with anything. As long as he doesn't go into her basement.

"The locked door" by Frieda McFadden is another thriller with which the author captivates readers and conquers charts. It's a story that will cement our perceptions of the already not-so-good name of basements.
