About the Product

Description

Poland, 1942.

Sadie Gault lived with his parents in Krakow during World War II. When the Nazis „cleared“ the ghetto streets, Sadie and her pregnant mother managed to escape into the city's underground tunnels. Ella Stepanek came from a wealthy family and lived in relative peace because her stepmother was on good terms with the German occupiers. One day she notices movement through the grating of the street shaft next to the market. And when her curiosity provokes her to get closer, Ella discovers that a girl is hiding in the underground tunnels. Ella begins to help Sadie, but as the war progresses, both their lives will be tested.

Inspired by true stories, „The woman with the blue star“ is an unforgettable symbol of friendship and the indomitable human will to live.
