Mark and Vian live in a beautiful neighbourhood of Bergen and enjoy a happy family life together with their young son Christopher. As a school psychologist, Vian met an exceptional boy of eleven. This meeting unties the knot of an intertwined relationship and unexpectedly turns her life and the lives of the Nielsen family upside down. The two characters unwittingly weave their fates into an intriguing story that provokes timeless reflections on love, human sin, and the power of the blood bond.

The specific style of the author again confronts us with the unconventional for this genre psychological insight into the secrets of the complex world of the human soul.
