The Secret of Dior

„The Secret of Dior“ is a novel in which the beauty and inspiring power of fashion contrasts with the brutal destructive power of war. The main characters in this story are women pilots and secret agents who helped the Resistance against Nazi Germany, risked and lost their lives in the fight for freedom. Their fates, which writer Natasha Lester based on the lives of real participants in World War II, are revealed gradually, lining up like puzzle pieces in an epic picture of an era that changed the entire world once and for all.

Paris 1947. Christian Dior presents its stunning first collection to a world exhausted by war and hungry for a new beginning. But behind the glamorous exterior lie deeply held secrets, lost dreams and immeasurable grief.

Decades later, the fashion historian Kat Jourdan would discover in her grandmother's cottage, on the coast of Cornwall, a vast collection of almost untouched original dresses of the Dior.
