The Wedding

On a sunny day Phoebe Stone arrives at a luxurious, old hotel on the seaside alone, without any luggage. Having experienced a series of losses, she seems to have nothing more to live for. However, she has always wanted to visit this particular hotel, eat oysters, sit in the Jacuzzi, ride on a yacht and see the ocean for the first time. Except her dreams always included her husband, and now she was all alone. Well, if you don't count the surprisingly large number of wedding guests waiting in line for the reception in front of her.

Without even suspecting it, Phoebe has found herself in the midst of preparations for a gorgeous wedding. And she's the only hotel guest not invited. Things don't get any better when the bride realizes that her perfect wedding may be marred by the plans of a divorced and depressed stranger who has nothing to lose and is painfully honest about everything. Phoebe and the bride's clash is a collision of two worlds, two women who at first glance couldn't be more different, but after their surprisingly civil conversation discover that they actually have too much in common with each other.

„The Wedding“ is a novel about the complexity of human relationships, about appearances, prejudices, dreams and disappointments. It is a surprisingly funny, tender, inspiring human story of rediscovery, of liberation, and of the unexpected paths that lead to happiness.
