The Boy in the Snow

An elderly man drives along a remote road through the snowy Norwegian mountains. Suddenly, his headlights catch the figure of an animal and he barely gets control of the vehicle before he runs over it. After shaking off the initial shock, the man can't believe his eyes - standing in front of him is not an animal, but a frostbitten and scared to death little boy with antlers firmly attached to his head.

Fourteen years later, the body of a young woman dressed as a ballerina is discovered in a nearby mountain lake, and on the shore, a tripod with a camera is pointing toward the crime scene. Three more murders follow shortly thereafter, and each time the killer leaves a specific clue—an invitation to Inspector Holger Munk and his colleague Mia Krüger to play a deadly game. But is it even possible to win this game when the opponent lacks any trace of humanity? Munk and Krüger find themselves forced to delve deep into the shadows of their own pasts to track down the psychopath...
