The Devil's Daughter

Two sisters with very different personalities clash in this captivating novel by New York Times bestselling author Danielle Steel.

The day she graduates with honors from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology is the happiest day of Billy Banks’s life, even though her family isn’t there to share it with her. Her mother, who had always supported her, died when Billy was seventeen. Her father began drinking himself to death on the family farm in Iowa, while she and her younger sister, Mickey, grew increasingly estranged.

The two girls have been completely different ever since they were children. Billy takes after their mother—she is shy, petite, and loves books; the tall, blonde Miki is boldly sexy, craves attention, and feels no compassion for anyone. Despite Billy’s attempts to take care of Miki after their mother’s death, her sister responds with constant cruelty.

So, when Miki invites her sister to move in with her in Los Angeles, Billy decides to take a chance and goes to live with her. Miki lands a dubious modeling job and finds herself in the world of the glamorous and famous, while Billy becomes a lab technician at a hospital and has a relationship with a kind and supportive reporter from the *Los Angeles Times*.

But... the difficult past has resurfaced once again.

„“The Devil's Daughter" is a gripping story about a sisterly bond stretched to the breaking point by narcissism and temptation.
