ANNA

What if our nightmares aren't actually dreams?

Anna O hasn't opened her eyes in four years. Since the night she was found deep asleep after stabbing two people to death with no clear motive. Dubbed Sleeping Beauty by the tabloids, her condition turns out to be a rare psychosomatic disorder known as „resignation syndrome“.

Dr. Benedict Prince is a forensic psychologist and sleep expert. His methods are Anna O's last hope of being awakened to face justice. As Benedict tries to protect his own secrets and solve Anna Oh's case, he pulls the thread of a much deeper, darker mystery. He knows all about the darkest recesses of the mind, buried in the subconscious, but he is unaware of the enormous danger of what is coming to light...

Anna Oh's awakening is not the end of the story, just the beginning.

Matthew Blake ranks alongside stars like Gillian Flynn and Alex Michaelides with its intricate, dark and twist-filled novel. The rights to publish the book have been bought for over 30 territories and it was the most talked about thriller at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
